Redeemer Lutheran School Celebrates Principal of the Year at Rocky Mountain District Conference
While our Redeemer Lutheran School families were hopefully enjoying a restful Fall Break, our dedicated teachers and staff traveled to beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, for the 2026 Rocky Mountain District Lutheran Workers Conference. It was a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, professional development, encouragement, and renewed dedication to the calling of Christian education. We returned to Salt Lake City grateful for the experiences we shared and especially proud of one of our own!

Congratulations to Mrs. Krystal Cochran: Administrator of the Year!
We are delighted to celebrate our principal, Mrs. Krystal Cochran, who received the distinguished Administrator of the Year award! This wonderful recognition honors her dedication, leadership, and faithful service to Lutheran education. Mrs. Cochran works tirelessly to support our students, encourage our teachers, strengthen our school community, and keep Christ at the center of all we do.
Recognizing Faithful Leadership in Christian Education
At Redeemer Lutheran Church and School, we believe that Christian education is both a responsibility and a blessing entrusted to us by God. Faithful school leadership means more than managing classrooms and academic programs; it involves caring for children, supporting families, and nurturing a community grounded in God’s Word. We give thanks for Mrs. Cochran and the many ways her leadership blesses Redeemer Lutheran School in Salt Lake City.
Growing Together at the Lutheran Workers Conference
The conference brought Lutheran educators, pastors, and church workers together under the theme “One Stone at a Time.” Through worship, presentations, workshops, and meaningful conversations, participants reflected on how God strengthens His people for their vocations. The gathering reminded us that the daily work of teaching, serving, encouraging, and guiding students is part of a larger mission centered on Jesus Christ.
Learning from Outstanding Speakers and Presenters
Our staff benefited from an impressive variety of speakers and educational presentations addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Lutheran schools today. We were especially pleased that our own congregation member, Shellie Pardoe, was among those contributing to the conference. These experiences provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, develop professionally, and return to our classrooms with renewed enthusiasm.
Fellowship, Laughter, and Memorable Adventures
Of course, the conference was not all workshops and presentations! Our Redeemer team also enjoyed opportunities for fun, friendship, and relaxation together. Highlights included successfully breaking out of an escape room, winning a gift basket during Bible Jeopardy, and even spotting moose around Breckenridge.
These moments of laughter and fellowship are more important than they might first appear. A strong Christian school is supported by teachers and staff who encourage one another, work together, and share the joy of serving children. Building these relationships helps strengthen the caring atmosphere our students experience throughout the school year.
